Sorry guys but I am still having this problem.
I am totally new to this and do not know how to start a web server in aix.
Can anyone point me to a document on how I view html pages in AIX433 ?

What web browser have you installed ?
Have you got a graphics terminal which will allow you to fire up the web server? Or a re you using software like exceed ?
What errors are you getting when firing off the web browser?
What html files are you trying to view ?

I have a graphivs terminal with X-Windows.
Where does the web browser sit and how do I start it ?

The web browser is installed on the AIX server , if it is
netscape ( check if it is installed first

lslpp -l | grep -i netscap ( see if it returns anything)
if not then it is not istalled or do lslpp -l | grep -i web
( or browser ) to see if you have any installed

I think netscape can be installed from the bonus pack CD(s).

Then to fire it up , login as root on graphics terminal
and type in netscape & ( a browser should fire up) once the netscape browser is installed you should also have a README file which should tell you more about starting and stopping browser.

Once the fileset is installed or already installed and you know the fileset for e.g. bos.acct is a fileset to view all the files in that fileset type lslpp -f bos.acct
here you can see the files associated with the fileset.

Is this what you are after ?
let us know if you want more info ?

Thanks,,,that does help me.
I do not have a browser installed so will continue from here....
