How do I use the knife with v12???? 1

I have been trying to use the knife tool on a line that I drew. It has rounded edges and I need it to be flat so I circled it with the knife and hit TAB but nothing happened.

Is there a better way to do this? Thanks for any input.

Hi Brandon,

Sounds like you created the line w/ the free hand tool (looks like a pencil) if this is the case then you need to go to the "outline" tool (it looks like a pen).

1) select your line

2) click on the outline tool

3) click on the pen that is on the fly-out bar

4) under the heading of "Line caps" select the line w/ flat ends

5) click "OK"
