How do I set up my adsl internet using win2k Internet Connection Wizard ? Cloned my hard drive and could not use the net on the source and destination drives afterwards. Went to Start,Programs clicked on the firewall program and message said source file is not present and I should reinstall the application.

Sounds like the clone went bad when you used it. If you still have the clone id try it again. As far as using internet connection wizard, you can use the link but all you need to do is set it up for local area network (lan). If needed, go to command prompt and type ipconfig/renew

Seeing that the source hard drive cannot now access the internet is there a chance that the source drive will be able to access the internet etc after cloning again? Using EZ Gig 11 cloning software that I got with my Apricorn external hard drive enclosure. Emailed Apricorn support but got no reply as yet.

I think if you do the clone again it will probably work. Might not but its worth a shot.

I recloned the source drive and the icons, including firewall icon returned to the system tray on the source drive and it is working ok. Only the firewall and two other icons showed up on the destination hard drive. Clicked the firewall icon but can't connect to the internet. Clicked the firewall program and it says source files are missing and I should reinstall the program. Source and clone drives were installed and booted separately.

bring up command prompt and put your system disc in and type sfc/scannow and see if that helps

Just found out that my drive letters are causing a problem because of changes to them. Source drive has 2 partitions. They were put on the destination drive during 1st clone. When reclone the drive letters got changed. Have source drive alone in system. I downloaded a file from the net. Tried to install with Winzip. Error message says 'the system cannot find the path specified. Unable to create directory: c:\unzipped'. MyComputer has drives E and F for the 2 partitions and no C. So winzip cannot find c:\unzipped. I think this is the cause of the problems with the clone drive also.

I re-installed winzip and it is working. Wonder if I should remove one of the 2 hdd's ie, source or clone before I restart machine at end of clone process.

On that im not sure, I never have did anything with cloning myself.

I re-cloned and removed the source hdd before booting the destination (clone) drive. Internet and everything worked ok.
