I am trying to use an Excel Function (search) that is not available in Access. How do I use this function in Access?

Simply set a reference to the EXCEL library and then you have access to the EXCEL object model (see online help for details).

What is the procedure for setting these references?

Thank you,

Go to the Visual BAsic Editor (VBE), Tools/References and put a check in Microsoft Excel 8.0 (9.0 if 2000).

Now, I have to ask, why ??? Access has a much more powerful search and sort capability than Excel. If you were after ACCIRTM or another financial function, I might understand. Or , trying to automate... Tyrone Lumley
