I have subclassed all of the VFP classes and can use them just like regular classes except to the FORM class.

How can I make a new form without using the standard VFP form and then putting the subclassed form on top of it?

Forms and Formsets are specified differently. Go to tools->options->Forms. And In the templates classes you can specify your form's class. So anytime you create a form using CREATE FORM or File->New->Form it will use your form's class. Mike Gagnon
