How do I upgrade the FW on my digital Avaya phones

I've done it in the past, I thought it was as simple as putting the correct bin files in my manager directory. I am wanting to upgrade my 9508 from .45 to .55 (or later if there is a newer version). I am running Manager 10.1, I have a single PC that has Manager and VMPro on it. In Manger > System, I have TFTP, HTTP and MANAGER IP's all pointed to my manager PC. I am unsure of what else needs to be done, can someone help?

If you have a 500 V2 I would make sure the files are on the SD card and point the phone file server to the SD card and reboot.

Thank you Budbyrd, in this case I have a V1. I manage a V2 at another location, so this is still a good answer! When you say reboot, is that the phone or the IPO500?

In that case I would use try a stand alone TFTP server. I have had issues with the built in one for Manager on occasion and using a different TFTP got it working.

Digital phones may or may not pull new files by rebooting the phone. If they don't then you will need to reboot the IPO.

Put a CF card into the IP500V1 and you don't need to have a manager or third party TFTP server running.
