Can anyone help walk me through updating the NPA,NNX tables in an Option11c for local calling areas. I have some new exchange numbers that need to be added in order to make local calls. I have very limited knowlegde of this on a Nortel Product, I'm an EADS switch tech. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

thank you

I usually print first so I know what RLI to use. If you are creating a new area code for the state of New York then print one of the old New York area codes and use the RLI that the programmer built for the old New York NPA. Same applies for NXX in your local area. Difficulty arises when you have several trunk routes (or networked switches) and your PBX is performing real Least Cost Routing. Then you have to look more closely at the distance between the new NPA/NXX and the trunks you have to choose from.

Hey guys, that was great!
