how do i uninstall windows ME if i dont know if the owner saved win 95

I am trying to fix a IBM 770,WIN ME,pentium II, 160 RAM. The owner intalled win ME but doesn not remember if he saved WIN 95 before he installed WIN ME. What will happen if i unintall WIn ME and WIN 95 was NOT saved. (ALSO, this computer does NOT have a Floppy drive) Please help

If you look in Ctl Panel - Add/Remove Programs, there should be an entry that says "Uninstall Windows 95 Programs" or something to that effect...can't remember for sure. If it's there, then the 95 files are saved and you can uninstall Me.

You're better off reinstalling after you reformat - some of the core stuff has been overwritten and the "rollback" information isn't 100% reliable.
