How do I turn off voice mail completely

I need to turn off voice mail my boss has ask me to look into this . He runs a Best Western motel and needs the voice mail turned off so that the colledge kids on the way thru will not leave messages on the phones.

What type of system do you have?

Is it a Mitel SX200 or 3300?

More information you give the easier it is for us to help.

If it is a 3300: shut off the Call Rerouting ~ First Alternative for all the rooms, easiest way is to export a spreadsheet, copy the spreadsheet so you can import it back later, now make changes on the copied sheet to shut off the forwarding, and import it back to the Mitel.

If it's an SX200: go to Form 9 - look at the Tenant number for the rooms, then in Form 19 - scroll down till you see: CALL FORWARD Busy Number for this tenant, CALL FORWARD No Answer, and Voicemail Number for this tenant and make the DAY/N1/N2 blank.

This way it will shut off the voicemail. Till you want it activated again.

If the voicemail has the Hotel option enabled you can manually check out each room and the voicemail will not take messages. You will need a Front Desk type mailbox to do this.
