System: Merlin Messaging R1.1 (11) on Magix R1 V6.0
The customer would like to simplify the system. Only voicemail, no auto attendants. Is this something that defaults to the AA at all times or is there a place in lines/pools that gets assigned (like a partner R7) I looked in manuals and could not find any relevant entries in their system via standard SPM - but could have been looking in the wrong places. Thanks!

You will probably find the lines, or the pools containing the lines, assigned to the Voice Mail calling group. Or possibly another group that overflows to the voice mail calling group.

Removing the lines or pools will stop the AA from answering, but it may make the Operator's mailbox answer instead.

So you may have to assign them to an unused group that has NO overflow.

Cool,

Did a little more checking and found that group 771 was assigned to the lines, not the 770 as I initially thought. I'll try deleting the line assignments under 771 and I think I might be good, thanks for the reply.

771 was probably setup as an overflow group to 770 - in order to delay answering by the autoattendant.

If you disable the autoattendant (by removing the lines from 771) - then after 4 rings - the voicemail box for the lowest extention number having a mailbox will answer the call. That's usually the Operator's mailbox - so you can re-record that greeting to fit a "general mailbox".
