how do I turn an AVI clip into a dvd movie?

Hi guys i know this is not the correct forum for this, but i am in need of some big help. I would like to make a dvd movie out of an AVI movie clip that i have but don't really know how, can you guy's please help.

What do i need to do, never done this before so please bear with me...

In addition, software like Nero 6 or 7 (Ultra version) or Ulead's MovieFactory have this capability. Check the software that came with your burner to be sure you can't already do this...
