I suggest you useful "lastcomm" command how to know ip address changes. this command give us the log(/var/adm/pacct) if user used any command.

To use this command, you should enable to acct daemon using "/usr/sbin/acct/startup",opposite command is "/usr/sbin/acct/shutacct".

Each time many user connet to server, if you shouldn't decrease pacct log size so filesystem will be full.

hi oray ,

what do you mean by tracking ip address changes ?

do you have multiple system administartors who change ip addresses ?
if changing the ip addresses of the server is the connectivity still their ?

if i got the right end of the stick , normally in a working environment you don't change ip addresses on the fly these are normally done the system administrators

please clarify as what you mean by track ip address changes ?
