How do I trace the usage of a datab

How do I trace the usage of a database/server in ASE, by login names?
I mean like
1) Who logged in
2) How long (start/end time)

Does this take lot of resources?

Hiya

There is no simple way to do this. You will need to set up some kind of auditing, but this will only really work at an application level, not directly into Sybase.

You could do a search for sysaudit on the internet and see what comes up.....
