How do I Tool Tip with retrived data?? 1

I would like to display some metadata retrieved at the same time as the report data. When the mouse hovers over a data item, I would like to display the meta data in a tool tip. Has anyone done this before? Can you give me some info, or point me in the right directions? Any help would be greatly appreciated!
