How do I sync audio to the photoshow template?

Hi there,
Pretty basic this one...I'm playing with the photoshow template provided with Flash MX 2004 and amd wondering
how to get some kind of sync between the music I'm putting with it, and the change of photo.
I'd also LOVE to know how to put a good dissolve between each shot - the transform/fade 'dissolve' provided within the program is pretty ugly!
