I've installed "SQL Server 2008" Locally to develop/test some SRS reports all locally for now. I installed it using "NT AUTHORITY\NETWORK SERVICE" for all of the services and automatic startup.

I need to Change to USR/PW authentication for SRS and SQL-SRVR-2008. How can I do this?

Could I use my "domain\username", I am the Local Admin.

Start SSMS and logon to this server, then Right Click on its name in Object Explorer and choose properties.
In the properties sheet click on Security and change it from "Windows AM" to "SQL Server and Windows AM"
You may need to restart service after doing this.

Okay I tried the above, but got the following error-msg.

Cannot connect to XXXX.

A connection was successfully established with the server, but then an error occurred during the login process. (provider: Shared Memory Provider, error: 0 - No process is on the other end of the pipe.) (Microsoft SQL Server, Error: 233)

I'm trying to setup SSRS with logins.
