How do I stop search settings v 1.2.3

Hi every time I start IE 7 A install starts saying please wait while windows configures search settings v 1.2.3. How do I stop this ?

Have you ever installed an app called Search Settings v1.2.3? or had a failed install of the same? Sounds like you may have a virus... found this post elsewhere

If you still have internet access on this machine, update your anti-virus software to latest definitions and run scan... also, download and run Malwarebytes

http://www.malwarebytes.org/

update it and run scan... see what, if anything it turns up.

OK sounds Like good advice yes I agree but virus checker drew a blank however the mallaware could be the problem I will have a shot.
