I am working with SQL on the iSeries but, the sql is very much the same as Access. How do I prevent Duplicates by column.
Thanks

In Access you would do this by setting the indexing parameter of the field to "YES, NO DUPLICATES"

Thanks Mikey, if you're refering to the the column properties of the table, I've used it before. In the iSeries (AS/400) SQL, you can't. Thanks for your assistance.

I'm not sure if the iSeries is similar to MS SQL Server, so if not, please disregard. If possible, try to set a trigger on the table so when new records are added, the trigger will reiview them and decide to keep them or delete them.

For what it's worth,
Poop
