I have downloaded sol-8-1_01-install-fcs-bin-ia-ml with the other 2 installation files, how do I now start the install?

It seems like all the docs refere to cdrom install?

Thank you all

Sina,

-The files are ISO images of the Cds, you need to burn those images with a CD-Burner, you can use CD Easy Creator, or Nero, if you use nero you need first to rename the files for iso to nrg (nero image), then you can install from CD.

Hopes this helps,

Regards,

Carlos Almeida,

Hi Carlos,

Thanks for your reply
but these files:

sol-8-1_01-fcs-bin-ia-v1.zip
sol-8-1_01-fcs-bin-ia-v2.zip
sol-8-1_01-install-fcs-bin-ia-ml.zip

are all zip files.
1. Do I have to expand them first and then rename the files to .iso? Because I did expand them but they are not informat of iso but when I expanded the sol-8-1_01-install-fcs-bin-ia-ml.zip the file size simply got larger (obviously) and that's all.

Or should I just expand the files and burn it to the cd.

I have the adaptec cd creator.

Thanks Carlos.

Sina,

Yes! you need to unzip files first and rename to .iso, or .nrg, they are images of original Cds, if you like you can see what files are inside the iso's with a program like "WinImage" ( you will use Easy CD Creator rename files to .iso, (I use Nero with sucess, because I had some problems with my version of Easy CD Creator), to use Nero just rename the files to .nrg and Burn ...) if you run into trouble with CD Creator I sugest that you download a trial version of Nero ( and use it just for this particular the job...

Hope this helps,

Best Regards,

Carlos Almeida
