My PC had a virus; I ran FDISK and formatted the drives and installed the original Windows 98 and set up the internet connection (IE4.0) and e-mail. I have a 33.6K modem on a Pentium 90 with 32MB of RAM. I noticed that accessing the internet is now relatively slow compared to what it was prior to the rebuild. All the settings are the same as it was before (e.g. only checked the TCP/IP check box, etc.).

Is there a way to speed my connection up, without having to upgrade my setup (e.g. CPU, RAM and Modem, etc.).

Thanks for any info.
