We are using Legato 5.5.1 build 144 on an NT 4 (SP6a) server to backup Netware 5.1 (SP3 + TSA5UP7) servers. When we backup NDS all of the .NLS lisence objects fail to backup due to a lack of rights - according to Novell this is by design. Is there a way of skipping these NDS objects ?

Don't know if you can skip them, but v4.2 of the Novell client allows you to back them up.

Create a directive and associate it with the client
text for directive.

<<“SYS:”>>
skip: *.NLS

This will skip all files ending with .NLS . You can set it to a certain path example

<<“SYS:SYSTEM/”>>
skip: AUTOEXEC.NCF

Where are the .NLS files?
