How do I show the same list in multiple workspaces?

I have a team workspace with multple workgroup workspaces. On my team workspace I have an events list. I would like to display a filtered view of this same events list in each workgroup workspace. How would I do this?

I have WSS but not portal.

Hello,

You can do this by modifying webparts with FrontPage 2003.
What you can do is to convert the contacts list to an XSLT view and then chose to connect it to another webpart on your subsites, by chosing Web Part connections and chose to provide data to a webpart on another site.

You can do a search for Data view webpart in Frontpage 2003 Help and you will get more instructions there.

Just make sure you have a complete and working backup before doing any modifications! It is very easy to break a site (or parts of a site) when doing customization with FrontPage (been there done that!)

Best way is to try it out in an test environment first.
