I am creating a MS access report based on a query. On the query I have a few records that are identical except for one field. On my report, I would like the record to appear only once and list all the values for the field that is different on that record. Currently access is printing all the records and each record is different by that field only.
Thanks for any help.

There is a generic concatenate function at faq701-4233. There is a sample database using this at

Thanks for the repsonse dhook but it does not quite solve my problem. I will try being a bit more specific.
ID Desc User ID
1 Issue 1 1
2 Issue 2 1
3 Issue 3 2
4 Issue 4 2
1 Issue 1 2

Above is the output of my query.
I would like a report looking like the following:
ID Desc User ID
1 Issue 1 1
2
2 Issue 2 1
3 Issue 3 2
4 Issue 4 2
Where, because the user id is the only different field, all other fileds are surpressed and that one is repeated. Grouping is useful if there are 10 or less headers. I have about 20 headers.
Is there any way to achieve this.

Can't you just set your sorting and grouping to the ID field and then use Hide Duplicates to not print the extra controls that repeat?

what i showed was a simple example of what i need. I have tried doing exactly as you have suggested with my live report, but the hide duplicates is not working. Also, I have more than 10 fields that are repeating and therefore need to be grouped on.

Create a totals query that groups on your more than 10 fields but doesn't display the UserID field. Create a subreport with the UserID field and add it to the detail section of your main report. Set the Link Master/Child to the appropriate fields from the main and sub reports.

Or sort and group by the more than 10 fields and place all the more than 10 fields in the group header. Limit the detail section to only hte UserID field.
