Hello,

I have Windows 2000 pro and I can not get the project started. I used the system name and Plus I have web publishing on but I dont have a default page.

Any suggestions

Aaron

1.Open Visual Interdev
2.New Project
2a. When it asks for a project location, it has to be *outside* the inetpub\ path!
3.enter 'localhost' (without single quotes)
4.enter name for your project
5.click 'Finished'
5a. [Themes and Templates are fairly useless]

Some snags:
1. If you are using a proxy for internet access make sure you turn it off for local addresses:
1a. Open Internet Explorer
1b. Tools Menu --> Internet Options
1c. Connection Tab
1d. Lan Settings button
1e. 'Bypass proxy for local addresses'

2. Your webserver needs to have Frontpage extensions installed. To do this:
2a. Start --> Programs --> Administrative Tools --> Internet Services Manager
2b. Expand to Default Website
2c. Right click on Default Website --> All Tasks --> Check Server Extensions

Hope this helps,
