I have a static IP from my ISP. I am running Windows 2000 Server. I have installed DNS.

How do i set up my DNS server. After it has been set up, how do i ad domains that i host in my DNS.

Thank you for your help

You can go to the "start run MMC.exe" and add-snappin for the DNS Console. There you can double-click on your servers name and in the proper "dns zones" you would add your records or "new zones". There are more than a few types of records in DNS.

My advice would be going to start > Help > Search for DNS in the help files.

L8ter! Life is good!, live it?

Well, i figured out myself after about one week of searching, how to set up new domains, and have my server host them.

I know how hard it can be to find out how to do this, so if anyone had any questions in setting up their DNS under Win 2000, fell free to ask me questions by sending e-mail to me @ clark.allan@creb.ca
