How do I set the default print paper size in Illustrator?

hey all, for some reason, whenever I try to print something in illustrator 8, in windows 2000 the default paper size is Letter-R this sets the size to like 8.5 x 11.01, so it makes my printer go to the manual loading tray rather than the auto load tray, I can always go to print set up and change this to letter so that it will print from the normal tray, but everytime I open a new file it reverts back to the Letter-R?? how do i change it?

look for your plug-ins folder in the application directory. In there you should find two files called RGB startup and CMYK startup. Simply open these documents and prepare everything just as you would like to see your new docs including whats availble in your brush, swatches, and styles pallets. BEHOLD!
