How do I set Outlook as my default mail manager

I have Outlook and Lotus notes on a user laptop. I am trying to migrate all Mail from Outlook to Lotus using a 3rd party tool. I have an error stating that Outlook is not the default mail manager ,meaning it cannot find any mail to migrate. How do I set this and then unset it after?

I think you want to go to IE options. In the programs tab ensure that the email program is set to Outlook.
