I have a qry question with 3 parts. Fields: [manager], [start], and [end].

1st part: I want to be able to enter initial start date if this will be the first manager on this particular project.

2nd part: If more than 1 manager has been assigned to a project, I'd like for the new manager's start date to be automatically set to the previous manager's end date.

3rd part: I want to make sure the manager's end date can not be set to a date that comes before the start date.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Let me see if I could explain a little more clearly. I'm using a query to track enter [Manager_Id], [start_date], and [End_Date] into an underlying table. What I'd like to do is to automatically set Manager 2 Start Date to Manager 1 End Date. I don't want to display some sort of error message if someone tries to enter a start or end date for manager 2 that would overlap with Manager 1's time period.

Thanks for your response.
