My Outlook is connected to SBS 2003 Exchange for company mail.

I have added my private pop account to Outlook and can receive mail without problem. The issue I have is I can't seem to send from my pop account. When I reply to mails I can only select my company address from the From window.

Can this be sorted out locally or is it something I need to do in the server?

I just saw next to the send button was a drop down list hwere I can select what account to send from so I have resolved this

I have a quick question relating to this subject.
I am in the middle of migrating my email accounts to a SBS 2003, I have set up and copied my emails and calendar files across but am unsure about the accounts. I currently have my accounts set up on my home PC with the option checked to deliver messages to my online server account, Ideally I would like to add my pop accounts to the server so I can get hold of up to date email from anywhere but I need to have the outgoing messages sent through my pop account and not the exchange account. Can this be done on the server of do I have to set this up on each PC I send from. If I could mask the server email address that would be fine.
It's not my server I just borrow it!

It needs to be done on each PC. If you use the POP3 connector in SBS, it will only download POP3 email (and only as often as every 15 minutes). It doesn't handle sending mail via POP3. For that, you have to configure the client for POP3.

Thank you for that. you have confirmed what I was thinking. Is there any way using exchange to change the reply email address like there is in outlook?
As I mentioned before the server isn't mine so the domain dose not match my company. I can set my PC and laptop to send using a pop account but the few times I log on using web based outlook, I would like to be able to send a message defanatly with the correct reply email address and preferably with the correct from email address.
Cheers

No - you can't change it at the server level unless the domain name you want to change it TO is in the Recipient Policy (which it likely isn't if it's not your server).

so it can be done? I have full access to this server and can add anything as long as it dosent change the settings for the company that the server is for. Where would I start?
Cheers

If it were me, I'd create another recipient policy, and assign the SMTP address, and make sure that that policy only applies to your users.
