Hi All

I have been using ACT for our Contact Management application for the last two years in various different versions. We started on ACT 6, and eventually upgraded to now be on the ACT 8.0 version. (Not the ACT Premium for Workgroups)

Apparently the Premium runs on SQL Server instead of MSDE. Firstly is that true?? And secondly can I run ACT which currently installs its own SQL MSDE Instance SQL\ACT7, on my current SQL Server to make use of the increased database performance??

The reason or doing this is that synchronising ACT with my current database (26,000 contacts) and 10 users is an extremely long process, and sometimes can run for 6-8 Hours without completing succesfully. I also think that data is getting lost when users keep having to stop in mid-sync to go to sales opportunities and meetings.

Any help would be appreciated. Maybe even any ideas on improving my sync perfomance.

Thanks in advance.

Duan
