How do I run a script in CS?

I found and downloaded a script from the Adobe Exchange site that allows me to run a script to make a pie chart.
These are the instructions:
Place the script in your InDesign scripts directory. Create a template for your InDesign pie graphs in InDesign or just draw a circle and select it. Click the name of the script, enter requested information and — voilà — your circle is split into slices according to the values you provided (clockwise starting on the hour 1200). Graph values need to be percentages.

My questions:
1. How do I place the script into the script directory? Is that the scripts folder in my plug-in folder?
2. How do I click the name of the script? Where do I find that?

Thanks!

Yes it is in the Scripts Folder of your plug in folder.

And you can go to Windows>Automate>Scripts from InDesign to navigate to the script and run it from inside InDesign.

It could be that I'm still running CS (I'm trying to get upgraded!), but it's not working.

I thought I copied the download into the correct folder. I restarted ID, but I don't have a Windows>automate>Scripts option. I have: Window>Scripting> then a pull-out of either Scripts or Scripting. Neither one of them have anything in it. I can't seem to find anything in the ID Help menu either.

Hmm... it could be that CS does not support this script. Some scripts are specific to versions of InDesign.

Have you got illustrator?

If not I can make the Pie Chart for you and send you a file. If that suits?

I have Illustrator. I can recreate it -- thanks for the offer. I was just hoping that a script would do it much faster.

I can't wait to get my upgrade -- Compay red-tape and all that!
