We need to create a script that will change the Power User access we have on all 300 of our employees workstations to Administrator. We're trying to setup a new proxy firewall into their internet explorer but in order for us to do that they need administrator access. We can do it manually by logging in as administrator or changing their access to administrator but it's going to be too time consuming to manually change all 300. We already have the script to work for Internet Explorer as we created a batch file and create a Group Policy Object but get errors because of the Power User Level they have. Any ideas?
Note, we are on a WAN with 13 different servers in various locations but the domain controller is in my location. Do we dump this script to change the user access at all 13 sites or just on the domain controller?
Any help us truly appreciated. We've already invested all day into this matter and no luck.
I've tried the Net Localgroup command on a power user machine with their account logged in and got a access denied message.
Once we're able to complete this we'd like to go ahead and put their user level back to Power User.
Thanks again.
