How Do I Return Data Immediately?

How can I, or can I even do this:

Have 4 million items; when running a report, I want to be able to see the items it returns immediately versus waiting until ALL of the items have been considered before data is returned.

Which DLL affects this?

How you design your report effects this more. If anything shown on page one requires information from later in the report, the report won't display until it has all the info it needs.

Some examples :

p N of M
Any kind of total/avg/summary
sorting not done on the server (ie groups)
