How do I restore my network share that was in a mapped drive?

I have a mapped drive. 2 folders were accidently deleted from this mapped drive. It isn't in my Recycle bin nor on the file server's recycle bin. It's disappeared. Does anyone know where deleted network shares go when they were deleted from a mapped drive?

Desktop is W2K Pro and server is W2K Server.

I don't think they go anywhere when you delete them, they just get deleted.

You probably will need to restore from backup to get them back.
