I have a backup of the MSSQL/Data directory of a previous installation where I had a database I now wish to restore. I have no back ups of this database only the Data directory itself.

How do I now restore the database from this Data directory? Is there some utility I can use maybe? [sig][/sig]

Use the sp_attach_db system stored procedure, or its sister sp_attach_single_file_db. [sig]
Robert Bradley

<a href= - Visual FoxPro Development
[/sig]

Thanks a bunch! I used it and then I used another sp to fix the probs with the homeless user rights of that database. So now the database can be used again.. Once again thanks! [sig][/sig]
