Hi Guy's,

I'm new to the Avaya. I was given one of these box's and have finally decided to look at it.

Is there anyway you can log in using the RS232 port and default the usernames & password.

I have managed to use the RS232 port to login and change the ip address but I can't get out of debug mode. What do I need to do that.
Also I was told to try AT-SECURITYRESETALL. Does anyone know if that works?

I generally work with Alcatel/Panasonic /Hybrex/ NEC/LG. Can anyone help me with this issue.

Yes to all of the questions in your 3rd paragraph. Connect to the RS232 port, type the command as above and follow the directions on the screen then wait for the OK response that will tell you it's done.

look in you tube for how to reset security settings for IP office. I remember I saw a couple of videos before. Also, If you do not care about the configuratuon and licensing installed in the IPO. You can use a paper clip or pencil and push and hold the reset button for 30 to 40 secs till The led in the back at sd card will start blinking orange. take out the pencil or paper clip and wait for around 3 mins while the IPO resets.

I would pull the SD card and get a copy of config.cfg so you don't lose you ADI licenses. If you don't you will be stuck in Basic mode.

Dermis and feline can be divorced by manifold methods.*

Hi pabx86

After you type try "AT-SECURITYRESETALL", did you get the MAC address?
enter the MAC address, then type "at-debug" and the system will reboot.
Then the password will go back to default.

BTW, how do you change the change the ip address if you did not login the system?
