I'm trying to create a print layout to create an ad in Corel Paint Shop Pro Photo X2 for a little nonprofit that I volunteer for. The person I inherited the job from also used Corel Paint Shop Pro Photo X2 and has all the elements saved in that format for me to create a new ad but there only seems to be one size and I can't figure out how to change it. Clicking and dragging the corners doesn't work and I can't find anything about it in the Help.
Thanks!

Print Layout helps you position elements on a page to be printed.

It depends on the Printer for paper sizes available.
From the Print Layout click on Print Setup, and then on Properties, this should bring up the Printer properties and let you choose form the paper sizes you printer supports.

Thanks for the information, vacunita. That would work if the ad I am trying to create fit any of the print papers available, but it doesn't and I'm not going to print it anyway, I'm going to send it to the paper and they're going to put it into their layout.

I've given up trying to work with Paint Shop on this and am creating the ad in Publisher. Then I will save as a .jpg so people can review it, and print it to .pdf for the paper.

Paint Shop just doesn't seem to work for what I'm trying to do.

Thanks for being helpful, anyway.

Paint Shop can save to a Jpeg just fine. If you aren't going to print it, then there's no reason to use the Print Layout.

Just generate your image in the size you needed and save it as a jpeg or PNG or whatever you need.

Ah, if only I knew how to do that! I find this program very confusing. I think you need a degree or something to use it. I don't understand most of the instructions. I have no idea how to create the image I want in this program and find the "Help" only confuses me more. I just spent two hours wiping out the background on a photo so I could just have a silhouetted shape. I saved a raster like they told me to. But I can't seem to get the background to drop out and when I saved the version with the background dropped out, in my pictures folder it appeared as if I hadn't done anything. I think I'm going to have to tell the people that I just can't do this. They need someone with a Phd in computer science and another in Fine Arts. My poor little BA in English just doesn't cut it.

If you want to preserve a transparent background then you need an image format that supports transparencies.

Jpeg does not support transparencies.

You can try PNG instead.

Once you remove the background from the image, you can use the Export option from the file Menu to produce a usable PNG file that will preserve its transparency.

I agree the Help file is not very "Helpful"
