How do i reset the totals on Aloha?

I recently purchased a restaurant and we are about 2 weeks away from opening and have a lot of Micros knowledge but Aloha look simpler except we need to reset totals so we can get all the menu items added and get ready for opening.

Any information would be great.

There are no totalse stored in the daily files. The dated subdirectories under aloha are the stored data. Just delete these directories, they will look like 20100504 20100503 etc.

Your data folder stores today's sales and the newdata folder contains files for tomorrow.

thanks for the reply, Now i would like to start fresh Ie with employees what do you think the best way to go about doing this i would like to keep the current db and just change the menu items.

I need to get Credit cards running on this system what would be the best course to get them to the proper account Merchant services?

What version of aloha are you on.

If you have a non CISP complient version 6.4 or earlier - your best bet would be to get independent CC terminals, set up a credit card button to settle cards to. makes it easier to balance.

Or you can contact your aloha dealer pay $$$ the past due mtc. fees, upgrade fees and edc changeover fees.

you can delete employees and items in aloha, not easy. Select an item then select delete. - if you have permissions in your boh security level, If not look up posts on tis site that explains how to use the dealer security level.
