How do I reset Ericsson DBC 223 phone to factory settings?

How do I reset DBC 223 phone back to factory settings as the phone will only work as if a headset is plugged in and not as a normal handset phone no matter which port the handset is plugged into?

There is no "factory reset function" on these phones. Have you considered the possibilty that the phone might be broken?
