I have removed the 3 screws on the bottom that have a 'K' next to them, and have searched around the keyboard for latches, but have found none. Anyone have any idea how to get this sucker off so I can diagnose a harddrive problem?

Thanks,
-danny

Hello! I have the same problem. I have an 1670 with a defective HD and I have no clue how to remove it. I took out all the screws and the battery but still none of the drives moved a single bit.
I´d be grateful for any hint!!!

Ok it has been a while, but hmm. Havent seen it in a while, at the top are there tabs that you can snap downward? looks like a filler for a spot without keys. otherwise there will be a harddrive door, and 2 screws there I forget which on that model... FatesWebb

if you do what I suggested it is not my fault...
