My Crystal report exports beautifully into Excel if I untick the Simplify Headers box but even if I save, it automatically defaults back to being ticked. I don't want my users to have to remember to do this each time. Is there a way of setting the default to unticked?

How do I remove Simplify Headers Default on Crystal to Excel Export?

Crystal and Excel have never really got on.
I always use column guides and make sure all data fields are aligned next to each other using these guides.
In addition all column headers must do the same. For any titles, print details this too must be attached to closeset guides as well.
The titles etc will form merged cells in the top of the excel output, but will not cause data columns to move around.
