Scenario:
Several users have a db which which sits on their C: drive.
There are linked tables in this db which link to an Oracle db.
Any db updates are carried out on the 'development' db (networked drive) and objects to be updated are entered into a module.
The user can at any time, select "Update" from their switchboard. This runs a module which collects the information from the development db and updates the users' objects.
What I don't know how to do is refresh the linked Oracle tables and compact the database during this same process (ie; not having to visit every PC and do through Tools, Add ins....).
Is there anyone out there who might have an inkling what I am trying to achieve - and if so, how do I do it????
Much appreciated.... NKA
The answer's always easy - if you know it! ;-)
