I need to open/retrieve a recordset with an SQL statement that usually takes quite a bit of time to complete. While the data is being retrieved, I would like to display a message via a form that basically tells the user to be patient, the action will complete in so many minutes. I am able to display the form just before I execute the currentdb.Openrecordset(SQL Statement) command. However, once the execution begins, the form can not be updated until the openrecordset(SQL Statement) execution is completed. Any recommendations on how I might update the form while the execution of the SQL statement is in progress?
Thanks,
