Hi guys,

Is there a way to redial the last number that called me?
For example, on my cell phone I can use *69 and it will redial the last person that had called me.

How would I find out if my Meridian Option 61C has some kind of similar call return code I can use to do the same thing?
We have both Meridian 2616 digital phones and Meridian 8314 analog phones as well.

Thanks!
Rich

Not possible with the 2616 sets. The Meridian does not store numbers in the system itself. You would need a phone that is capable of saving a callers list like the 3900 series. If you were CS1000 with signaling server it would be possible with IP phones which can save a callers list to the server.
Then you have the problem of inserting an access code to call back external numbers. In some cases you can create a DAPC table to do that.

Not sure if the 8314 stores incoming caller numbers.

If you were to upgrade the 2616 to say a 3902 or 3904 you would have the option to edit incoming numbers and dial them back. It logs quite a few calls (to and from) which is a nice feature....... especailly for those of us with bad memories!

At my old place over here in the UK, we had a mixture of digital sets. We use the leading digit "0" for all UK national and international calls. We didn't have an attendant using "0", so I set up pre translation on all phones so that when "0" was pressed, it dialled out the AC1 code of "9" then "0".

This meant that we could use the redial number in the CLID so that the number was automatically called without the need for any access code.

I seem to recall that I also used a new DAPC table 1 in LD 15 so that the "9" was seen in the CLID.

Excellent idea with the pretranslation Firebird.
It made me realize we could do a similar thing here possibly with steering codes since all local calls start with one of two area codes.
