I want to run a Vb app on a workstation which has all files residing on a server. I want to remap the workstation c:\app directory to point to \\server\app. Is there a "set path" command in VB4 or do I need to do it in win98 etc.

Also I want to check to see if the app is already running on another workstation as I want only one instance of the app executing to prevent file corruption. I can do this with the timer control which could update a common Db with time/date and Id etc but is there a simpler way to detect this.

Thanks
