I need a method to re-route the output of a nlm command string that is executed from a Netware 4.2 system console. I would like to "pipe" the output to a file.

Can you give us more info, like what NLM it is? And also what output you would expect? -----------------------------------------------------
"It's true, its damn true!"
-----------------------------------------------------

I am running an ipssend.nlm command that reports the configuration and status information from an IBM ServeRAID adapter. The ipssend does not have a parameter that will allow me to save the output to a file.

Don't IBM have a workstation-based utility that interacts with the server? Similar to Compaq's Insight Manager?

I am sure they do, if memory serves it is called Patrol or something like that?? -----------------------------------------------------

Load conlog.nlm. This will log all messages that appear on the system console to SYS:\ETC\CONSOLE.LOG. Then unload conlog to stop the logging and look the file.

CONLOG will only work for stuff displayed on the System Console. If your NLM opens a new screen, CONLOG is of no use. -----------------------------------------------------

Thanks for the tip.
The data I want to capture is displayed to the system console.
I will give it a try and let you know if it worked.

CONLOG only saves the commands executed on the system console.

I'm still looking for help to redirect the output to a file.

Thanks for you help
