How do I push updated firmware to IP phones?

We're running release 4.0 and I've tried doing a "Force Firmware Download" on various IP phones however it seems to download the same version of code that the phone already has installed. How do I go about pushing out a newer revision? Your guidance would be appreciated.

As soon as you install an SU that contains a newer firmware, the IP phones will download it automatically.

Are you sure that the BCM 4.0 has newer firmware (i.e. higher version number) than what is already on the IP Phone?

I don't know what version of firmware the BCM has but I'll try applying the latest patches from Nortel and see what happens.

System patches do not generally include IP phone firmwares. Those are separate.

Install latest SU,System_SU14, it includes the latest firmware for your IP sets.(062xC4L.bin)
