How do I pull data from a website to populate into Excel

I need to automate a manual reporting process that is completed everyday by one of my colleagues. They manually populate an Excel report by typing data off of various websites (for example, Essentially these are common financial market indexes that are compiled for executive management to have a quick lay of the land with regard to the economy. What are my options and how hard would this be. Your help would be very appreciated!

Hi,

Check out Data > Import External Data > New Web Query

In this wizard, navigate to the site, select the date of interest and import.

Once established, you need only Data > Refresh to retrieve new data.

Only with a macro AFAIK.

Include the code you generate from turning on your macro recorder and recording doing the following...

Data > Import Data > Edit
