Hi

We are currently using 2 W2k-SP3 servers with CITRIX MF-FR3.

Our company consists of several domains in several countries. The CITRIX servers are part of a "central" domain. This means that there is a one side trust between this domain and all the others. I only have control over this "central" domain. Some of the domains are in NT4 others in W2k. Some use roaming profiles, others not.

We only publish a couple of applications via NFuse, so no-one is supposed to logon with a full desktop. All the people who use a roaming profile get error messages when they try to start an application.("Windows cannot create profile directory \\SERVERNAME\profiles$\USERNAME.pds. You will be logged on with a local profile only.....")

Is it somehow possible to prevent those people from trying to use their profile? Maybe with some registry setting or something in the logon script?

I would be thankful for any help.

Tim

Set the Terminal Server profile to somewhere close to the Citrix servers. That way their NT4/W2K profiles will not be used. For NT4 domains you want to run user mangler from the citrix box as it will provide the extra fields you will not see from an NT4 box. W2K should show you in users Terminal Server setup bit thing stuff in Users and computers

You need to implement the following hotfix from Microsoft

Error Message Loading Profile When Using Roaming Profile
Hot Fix for Microsoft Knowledge Base article number Q271518

That should sort you out!!!!!

Cheers,
Carl.
