How can can pick out a cell reference in a formula based on certain criteria?

for example:

=if(AB12 / 3 = c21, g21, z15)

any column reference after the letter "K" I would like to change to the same cell on a different sheet, but, I would like to do a bunch at a time. (any ref before K must not be changed)

I realize a reference can come after a comma(,) or / ,$ ,( ,/ ,- ,+ ,*.

do you have any ideas?

Thank you

Without knowing more I can't begin to say whether it is practical to do that with VBA.

I would not use VBA. Try selecting the cells from columns K thru whatever in the old sheet, cut (Ctrl-x) and paste into the new sheet (Ctrl-v) at cell K1. That will update cell references (in formulas on the old sheet) like Z15 to NewSheet!Z15.
